When this property truly shines.

Best season: November to April — the northeast monsoon brings the calmest sea and visibility conditions. Surf season begins in May with the southwest monsoon.
Ideal for: Families with older children, active couples who want diving, surfing, and fine dining in parallel, and guests returning to the Maldives who want a different experience.

What stays with you: Morning surfing on the in-house wave or cycling the jungle path of Play island, evening dining at Subsix six metres below the ocean surface.

Subsix is the only underwater restaurant at this depth in the Maldivian atolls — dinner literally takes place beneath the ocean, surrounded by marine life.
The dual-island concept — Chill and Play — gives a stay structure: the quiet side for spa and sunsets, the active side for surfing, treetop dining, and the children's programme.
The Nest treehouse platforms and the Tribal restaurant under an open sky set the dining experience apart from any other Maldives resort.
Beach pool villas and overwater pool villas cover both preferred scenarios — directly on sand or elevated above the lagoon.

Best time to travel January to April

The dry northeast monsoon from December to April brings calm seas, clear underwater visibility and steady sun. September to November is the wettest and windiest stretch and is best avoided if diving conditions and beach days matter most.

January–April Dry season with calm seas and daytime temperatures around 29 to 31 degrees; the clearest water and also peak season.
May–August Southwest monsoon with short, heavy showers and more wind; the surf season starts in May and rates are lower.
September–November Wettest and windiest phase, October often the rainiest; water stays warm but visibility varies.

What you come here for.

Subsix, six metres underwater

Subsix sits half a kilometre offshore and six metres below the surface, reached by a short boat ride. The menu is Nikkei, with shoals of butterflyfish passing the glass.
The wave off Play Island

A powerful left-hand reef break called Vodi peels right off the shore of Play Island. Niyama is one of few houses with its own wave at the door.
Drift Spa and treetop dining at Nest

At Drift Spa, Lomi Lomi, shiatsu and Thai massage combine; in the evening, Nest serves an Asian-leaning menu up in the canopy of the jungle island.
