Climate & best time to travel

Best time to travel April to June, plus September and October.
Eze clings to the rock above the sea in a balanced Mediterranean climate. April to June brings 18 to 25 degrees, blossom and clear views. July and August climb to 28 to 31 degrees and draw heavy traffic onto the coast roads. September keeps the warm sea with less bustle. Winter stays mild around 12 to 15 degrees, when some village addresses close.
- April to June 18 to 25 degrees, long terrace evenings, quiet lanes. Best for the view and dinner rather than the beach.
- July to August 28 to 31 degrees, crowded corniche and roads. Transfers take longer, early hours pay off.
- September to October Still a warm sea, 22 to 27 degrees, softer light. The calmer Riviera season.
- November to March Mild around 12 to 15 degrees, quiet, with some village offerings reduced.

Dinner on the cliff terrace
The hotel's table hangs roughly 400 metres above the sea in the rock of Eze. We suggest the late evening, once the day visitors have left the village and only the coastal lights remain.

The Jardin Exotique above the village
Above Eze sits the botanical garden of succulents with a view as far as Cap Ferrat. A few steps from the house, best in the early morning before the first tour group.

A drive along the three corniches
The Moyenne Corniche leads straight to Eze, the Grande Corniche above opens the view. Half a day links the coast roads with a stop in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

A walk through medieval Eze
The village is a knot of narrow stone lanes with no cars. A walk in the early evening, as the daylight fades, is the quietest part of a stay.
