Corfu lies in the Ionian Sea and is greener and wetter than the Aegean islands, which keeps the landscape lush year-round. The season is long: May/June and September/October bring 22 to 28 degrees without the high-summer crush. July and August reach around 30 degrees and busier beaches. Rain falls mainly between October and April, while high summer stays dry.
